The foundation controls and monitors the quality of the natural campsites, which are only accessible to holders of the Natural Camping Pass. The old town of Dokkum is 10 miles away and is the nothermost town of the Elfstedentocht. For the Wadden islands it is a short ride to the harbour of Lauwersoog -for the island of Schiermonnikoog- or the harbour of Holwerd for the island of Ameland.

It Dreamlân is situated near the border of Friesland and Groningen below the Lauwerslake. Camping at It Dreamlân is a dream come true for children too: they can jump straight out of their sleeping bag into the sandpit, go fishing with butterfly nets on the water, go crazy on the go-karts, paddle away in the canoes, have a football tournament with all the other children on the campsite, bounce up and down on the trampoline and get dirty as they spend all day playing outdoors (no panic, there’s a washing machine)!Īnd, how nice for dads, mums and children: the site is safe and surrounded by chestnut wooden fence (besides the field ‘Tent in the fields’) so you don’t have to keep an eye on them all the time!
